The board of Crandall United church met Monday evening to accept the gift of a new Hammond organ from Mr. and Mrs. Roland L. Dickey of Crandall.
The board hopes the organ will be installed for next Sunday morning's service, just before Mr. and Mrs. Dickey leave for Florida next week.
Mr. and Mrs. Dickey are now retired, but have lived at Crandall for many years. Mr. Dickey operated a large farm adjacent to Crandall and was widely known for his progressive farming methods. Always a staunch supporter of the United church, this is his second gift to the Crandall church. A few years ago he donated a set of chimes.
