A very enjoyable evening was spent at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gray on Saturday February 27 when 22 relatives gathered to honour Mrs. Chas. Gray on the occasion of her 86th birthday of February 23.
Mrs. Gray seated at her birthday table on which was a birthday cake brought from Winnipeg by Mr. and Mrs. Bert Webster, beautifully decorated to represent the sod house of the pioneers of 1882, the first home of Mrs. Gray when she came west with her parents as a small girl, was presented with gifts from her family and relatives. The design for the cake was taken from a quilt block made by Mrs. Gray. Mr. and Mrs. Alf Gray, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Webster, Mrs. Bert Dawson and Brian all of Winnipeg and Mr and Mrs. W. Hyndman of Crandall attended.
