Agnes Isabella Warren (nee Robinson)
February 13, 1878 - May 20, 1948
An old time resident of the Palmerston district passed away at her home in
Crandall, following an illness on Thursday, May 20th, in the person of
Mrs. P.S. Warren.
Born at Listowel, Ont. on February 13, 1878, Agnes Isabella
Robinson came west to Regina in 1892, and to Crandall in 1895.
Her marriage to Percy Salter Warren took place in Crandall on January 12,
1909. The couple did their full share in building up the district in the
earlier days.
Many friends paid a last tribute at the funeral service held at the
family residence on Saturday, and conducted by Mr. Smith Shuttleworth, of
Melville. There were numerous floral tributes, and the casket was laid to
rest in the family plot in Crandall cemetery by Wm. and Wal. Hyndman,
Donald Douglas, W.H. Kirton, P. Wallace and B.K. Lawrence.
Mrs. Warren is survived by her husband, who has been a patient in
Brandon general hospital for over two years, and two sons, Franklin, of
Crandall, and Clarence, and a daughter, Doris, both of Winnipeg; and four
sisters, Mrs. J. Kincade, Listowel, Ont.; Mrs. W. Eyers, Kelso,
Wash. U.S.A.; Mrs. L. Currie, Miniota, and Miss E. Robinson, Brandon.
Two sisters and three brothers have passed on. There is a gandchild.
