Mrs. Isabella Coburn
April 22, 1861 - June 16, 1949
Following an illness, Mrs. Coburn passed away peacefully in her sleep
on Thursday morning, June 16.
Born at Maybole, Ayrshire, Scotland, on April 22, 1861, she came to
Canada in June, 1907, and resided on the farm south of Crandall until 1929
when she and her son, William, took up residence in town.
The funeral was held in the United church on Sunday morning and was
conducted by Rev. J.A. Wilson, who, in his remarks paid tribute to the
life and work of the deceased, who was held in great esteem.
Burial was made in Crandall cemetery, the casket being laid to rest by
Wal. Hyndman, D.C. Douglas, S. Lawn, P. Wallace, R. Vance, and
Arnold Douglas.
Surviving are two sons, James, Abbey, Sask., and William, of Crandall,
and two daughters, Mrs. D. Shaw, Abbey, Sask., and Mrs. R.G. Cassel of
Elkhorn. There Iare 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
