Kenneth Lawrence
aged 21 - June 8, 1944
Rifleman Kenneth Lawrence
The Victory of D Day when gallant Canadians stormed the beaches
of Normanday, was the signal for renwed hope, and also the time for
intercesion for the safety of those who would have to face great danger.
We knew also that men from our midst were there; ready to do their duty,
no matter what the cost. It has been learned on many occassionssince this
war began that many have been called by death from the battles on the sea,
on the land or in the air. To those, the Victor's crown. Their names
liveth for ever.
Mr. and Mrs. B.K. Lawrence of Crandall have received word that their son,

Rifles in Normandy on June 8th last. Kenneth, who was born at Brookdale,
came with the family to Crandall, and enlisted in January 1943 and went
oversess in August of that year.
To his parents, his sisters, Mrs. W. Torason, Brandon, and Helen of
