Edna Miller (nee Kelly)
April 28, 1910 - Oct. 10, 2007
MILLER: Edna (Kelly) Miller more affectionately known as
"Aunt Edna", passed away quietly on Oct. 10, 2007.
Funeral service was held at Killarney Church with
burial at the Killarney cemetery. She was born at
Isabella, April 28, 1910 to Duncan and Martha Kelly,
the youngest of four sisters and one brother, all
predeceased.
Edna attended Normal School in Brandon
in 1929 and began her teaching career with
terms at Steele Bridge (near Gladstone), Lima School,
Miniota, Shoal Lake, Crandall and Killarney.
In 1945
Herbert and Edna were married and lived
on the farm on the outskirts of Killarney. In 1947
Edna gave birth to twins, Elizabeth Lynne survived
and her brother died. They retired from the
farm in 1960 and following a short illness lost her
husband and in 1964 lost Betty Lynn in a car accident.
In her 97 years Aunt Edna had managed to teach for 35
years, took an active role in the
church and sang in the United Church choir for 53 years. She kept
tabs on all her nieces and nephews
and their families, never missing a
birth date with a phone call or a
card. Edna will be missed by her
special friend, Sylvia Janz, all her
nieces and nephews, and their
families. Donations in Edna's

United Church Fund.
