Viola Florence Lakatos (nee Cowling)

Viola Florence Lakatos (nee Cowling) passed away peacefully at
her home in Winnipeg on Nov. 06, 2007 at the age of 86.
She was predeceased by husband Eddie, parents Daniel and Louie
Cowling, sister Gracie, and brother William (Bill). She is survived
by her sisters Pauline Farquhar (Port Coquitlam, BC), Joy
Lelond (Hamiota), and Marie Arnold (Birtle) as well as son Brian,
daughter Barbara and their family (Winnipeg).
Viola was born
on the farm north of Crandall and received her education in
the Crandall schools. In her early years, she was known as
"Mrs. Bing" as she worked for Jim Bing in his grocery. Viola
will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and devotion
to her family and friends. A celebration of life was held
on Nov. 9 in Winnipeg.
