BADGER
(Taxidea taxus)
Weight - to 17 kg
Habitat - grassed plains region, north to Prince Albert
Food - rodents, small mammals, birds, frogs, snakes, insects
Reproduction: in the spring, 1 to 4, gestation 4-5 months
Note - snort and snuffle while digging
- very sharp teeth, long claws
- flattened look, for protection
