ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK
(Búteo lagópus)

This bird normally lives in open country, and entirely on
rodents. Broad dark band on white tail and black wing
joints are field marks. This bird will be seen hovering,
looking for a mouse or gopher. Its call is a thin whistle,
slurred downwards.
