SNOWY OWL
(Búteo lagópus)
The adult birds are pure white, the immature show black
or brown markings. These birds nest in the Arctic and
migrate to southern portions of Canada for the winter.
Observed sitting on poles, fences, or hay stacks, on the
alert for rodents and rabbits.
