  JAMES HAMILTON ROSS

My grandfather took this trail from Manitoba in 1881 and was first to homestead on the site of Moose Jaw before the arrival of the railway.
His father, John Edgar Ross, was the first mayor. His son, J. Gordon Ross, born in Moose Jaw, was Federal M.P. for 16 years between 1925 and 1945.
His geandson, John G. Ross, born in Moose Jaw, spent many hours during his youth hiking, fishing and hunting along the Moose Jaw Creek Valley.
